Outdoor stalls are 10' x 24". The front 10' of the stall is under cover for protection from the elements. Shed has door at each end which allows for good air flow through covered area of stalls.
Each stall has 2 water buckets that are dumped and filled daily. A single heated water bucket is provided during winter months.
We have several pasture areas that we use for turnout. Geldings and mares are turned out in separate areas.
New horses are "buddied-up" and slowly introduced into the existing herd.
Horses will be paired off into smaller groups if necessary, to assure turnout remains safe and peaceful for all.
There are a total of 15 (10' x 12') stalls in the main barn. Stalls are matted, and are open top for good air flow.
All stalls are equipped with two water buckets. A single heated water bucket will be provided during winter months.
Box fans are provided during summer months.
Stalls are cleaned Monday thru Friday, and water buckets dumped and filled daily.
FEED SCHEDULE
All horses at Feather Mountain Ranch receive grain, including those on pasture. Hay is feed 2x per day prior to receiving grain. Pasture horses receive hay during winter months. If horses are required to stay in due to inclimate weather or poor turnout conditions, and horses turned out into dry lot areas will receive an additional flake of hay at lunch.
The owners of Feather Mountain Ranch continually research and consult various equine nutritionalists to assure good nutrition is being provided to our horses. We feed pelleted feed provided by Hubbard Feeds.
